Freedom has a date. June 19, 1865. The day the last enslaved people in this country found out the war was over and they had been free for two years. (The news traveled slowly, right?) We celebrate Juneteenth because the truth always arrives, even when it's late.
This shirt wears that truth on the front. Pan-African colors in green, gold, and red, bold stripes and the word JUNETEENTH centered right where it belongs. It's a beautiful piece of Black history you can actually put on your body and walk into the world with.
